The 2017 Natural Gas for High Horsepower (HHP) Summit Kicks-Off in Jacksonville, Florida with Attendees from Around the Globe

Executives from the marine, rail, mining, and power gen operations are convening for North America's largest conference and expo on natural gas fueling, engines and technologies.

November 7, 2017 | JACKSONVILLE, FL — The 2017 Natural Gas the High Horsepower (HHP) Summit, North America’s most comprehensive conference and expo focused on the economic and environmental benefits of natural gas for high horsepower operations kicks off today in Jacksonville, Florida. Now in its sixth year, the annual event brings together nearly 1,000 stakeholders spanning the marine, rail, mining, and power generation, sectors. Since its inception, the HHP Summit has served as the meeting place for high horsepower industry stakeholders to share insights from early adopter projects, discuss opportunities to collaborate on infrastructure and technology advancements, and to drive real, tangible progress in the natural gas market.

“We have seen momentum continue to build in the North American natural gas downstream market, despite the temporary pricing dip in the global oil market, and nowhere is this more evident than in HHP Summit’s 2017 host city, Jacksonville, Florida,” said Erik Neandross, CEO of Gladstein, Neandross & Associates, the U.S. clean transportation and energy consulting firm that produces the conference. “With a significant number of important projects having come on-line in recent months and leaders in our industry, including HHP Summit’s presenting sponsor, Pivotal LNG, continue to make substantial investments in natural gas solutions given the long-term value that is provided to their customers.”

Over the course of the three-day event, global leaders are slated to speak about the continued growth and opportunity of natural gas for high horsepower applications, with presenters and exhibitors expected to make exciting announcements during conference sessions and on the expo hall floor. Attendees will gain insight into projects taking place from the Caribbean to the Northern Yukon, including unprecedented access to natural gas operations in the Florida area via off-site technical tours.

Keynote and Featured Speakers: Attendees will hear from over 80 industry experts, who will offer insight into recent projects, and discuss how clean burning, domestic natural gas can serve as an ideal solution to reduce fuel costs and meet increasingly stringent emissions regulations, particularly given that oil prices are expected to rise. From the implications of the upcoming 2020 low-sulfur marine fuel regulations to a comprehensive overview of the Indiana Harbor Belt CNG rail project, the program features sessions for a variety of interests. Providing both the end-user and industry perspectives, speakers include:
